How do I give?
To give online, click here or navigate to our Donate page. Or to give from your mobile device, simply text 77977 with the message CMK GIVE. A link will be sent to you.
Frequency
Whether you give online or give from your mobile device, there are several different donation options. You can choose a one time donation or set up a recurring gift.
What are the funds used for?
Your financial contribution can be directed a few different ways.
Contributions given directly to CMK (aka the "general" fund) allows the Foundation to, among other things, offer interest-free loans to adopting families that have completed our application process.
Contributions can also be made toward a specific family's fundraising campaign by selecting their name from the drop down list or by putting a note in the memo line. Funds directed toward a specific family's fundraising endeavors will be used for that family’s adoption expenses exclusively*. To ensure transparency in giving, adoption-related expenses such as legal, medical, home study, etc. fees will be paid directly to the owed parties on behalf of the family.
What if there are funds left over after the adoption is complete?
*In the event the amount of funds donated exceed the family's expenses for the adoption process, the excess amount will remain in their CMK giving account for up to two years. The remaining funds can be used toward future adoption expenses. Should the family elect not to adopt again (or if they have not begun the process toward adopting again) within the two year timeframe, those funds will default to the general giving account, allowing us to help other families in the process of adoption.
What else should I know?
The Custom Made Kid™ Foundation is a 501(c) nonprofit organization. All donations are considered tax deductible. A giving statement will be sent out at the end of each calendar year.
